None in South Sudan has an excuse for the instability that led to the country’s failure because we all failed to do what is right and act responsibly and rightly. Many blindly follow their corrupt leader just because they are tribe related. In addition, there is a Lack of will, courage, and vision, and sadly some have no interest in doing something.

This article below is obtained from the farewell ceremony organized by the government of Ruweng Administrative Area (RAA) for students who received scholarships from the higher education institutions to study in India. Thanks to the GRAA for the effort.

“FAREWELL CEREMONY ORGANIZED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF RAA

FOR THE RUWENG STUDENTS ON FULL GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP TO THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA AT THE RUWENG COORDINATION OFFICE IN JUBA.

On opening the ceremony, Mr. Karbino Mum Luk, the GRAA coordinator welcomed the gathering for attending this great occasion, and he called it a historically great day for the Ruweng people.

Nyanyai Monychol Achuil, one of the students awarded scholarship to India and representative of these students, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Government of Ruweng Administrative Area under the administration of H.E . Stephano Wieu De Mialek, for this significant achievement by sending 15 Students(both males and females) to study overseas.

Nyanyai described this initiative as a key for success and transforming the lives of the Ruweng people. She pledged to the audience that they are not going to betray the desire, aspiration, and the will of the Ruweng people and their respective families as well.

The Chief Administrator of Ruweng Administrative Area remarked by extending his

congratulations to the students for being privileged to win this opportunity. H.E.Stephano Wieu, told the gathering that one of the greatest investments is—investment in education, by transforming this sector to make learning attractive and interesting; sending our children abroad for further study is one way of importing expertise or skills from other advanced nations.

H.E. Stephano Wieu De Mialek , urged the students to maintain excellent academic performance while attending university classes in India, ensuring consistency in their academic performance.

The Chief Administrator informed the audience that the government of Ruweng Administrative Area is ready to initiate more opportunities to create more vocational training centers for youths in RAA.

In wrapping up his speech, the Chief Administrator appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Education in Ruweng Administrative Area, especially, Hon. Santo Luol, Head of Education and Mr. Miabek Them, the Director General of the Ministry Education. He admittedly said that without their efforts and support, this day would have not been more successful as it is!”
